Circulation Policy
Check-out
Students may check out books before or after school, between classes, when they come to the library with their English class, or on a pass from a teacher.
Students are not limited in the number of books they can check out. The library staff asks that students be courteous to other patrons and not check out an entire series at one time, as other students may be at a different point in that same series.
Loan Periods
Fiction and non-fiction books: Two weeks
Reference Materials: Overnight
Renewals
You may renew your materials as long as there are no holds on them for other people. You need to bring in the item you wish to renew or you may renew online at the catalog link, if your books are not overdue. You do not need your ID card to renew materials.
Overdues
Overdue notices will be given to ELA teachers. Library staff reserve the right to require students to return overdue materials before checking out additional items.
The Scranton Library Media Center does not charge overdue fines.
